Early Years
Learning through play, stories, songs and hands-on activity, so children love coming to school.
The first years at school shape how a child feels about learning. At Prastuti Junior, Nursery, LKG and UKG are warm, busy and full of discovery: stories, rhymes, songs, colour, building, outdoor play and a great deal of talking and listening.
We follow an international and STEM-based curriculum that treats young children as active learners. Instead of long hours with a pencil, children learn letters, sounds, numbers and shapes through hands-on activities, so that the ideas make sense before they are written down. Teachers keep groups attentive and give each child time to speak, try and ask questions.
Every child settles at a different pace. Teachers watch closely and talk with parents about how their child is growing, and a developmental-behavioural pediatrician is available through the academic session, along with counselling, if a family would like extra guidance.
By the end of UKG, our aim is that children are confident, curious and ready for Class I: able to listen in a group, recognise letters and numbers, hold a pencil well, and enjoy coming to school.
