The first year of school should feel exciting, safe and full of discovery. At Prastuti Junior in Chalchali, Nagaon, our Early Years classes (Nursery, LKG and UKG) are designed around how young children actually learn: by playing, moving, talking, listening and trying things for themselves.
How young children learn at Prastuti Junior
We follow an international and STEM curriculum adapted for little learners. Letters and sounds are learnt through rhymes, stories and games. Numbers come alive through counting real objects, sorting, matching and building. Drawing, cutting, colouring and craft develop the small hand muscles children need before they write.
Teachers give every child time to speak and be heard. Circle time, show-and-tell and group play help children grow in confidence and learn to share, take turns and make friends.
Support for every child
Children settle and develop at different speeds, and that is normal. Our teachers notice how each child is doing and talk with parents regularly. A developmental-behavioural pediatrician is available through the academic session, along with counselling, so families have expert guidance if they have questions about attention, speech, behaviour or development.
Beyond the classroom
Prastuti Junior offers free art and creativity classes and abacus activities on Saturdays. These sessions help children express themselves, build concentration and enjoy early number work.
Settling in
The first weeks of school can bring tears, and that is normal. Teachers help children settle with a gentle routine, familiar songs and lots of reassurance, and they keep parents informed about how their child is adjusting. Tell us about your child's habits, likes and worries when you visit, so we can help from day one.
Getting ready for Class I
By the end of UKG, we want children to listen well in a group, recognise letters and numbers, hold a pencil comfortably, and above all enjoy learning. Children then move on to the Primary classes at Prastuti Junior without changing schools.

Admission pre-booking is open, and Prastuti Junior opens for classes in the first week of January. Our admissions team will share the age criteria for each class and the fee details when they call you.

Which classes does Prastuti offer?
Prastuti Junior offers Nursery, LKG, UKG and Classes I to X. Prastuti Integrated Academy offers Classes XI and XII Science under the AHSEC board, with integrated NEET or JEE preparation. Med Launch is our separate NEET dropper batch.
